hi friends!
I’m Lindsay and I started Movement to Bloom with you in mind!
From a young age I have loved all things movement and continued this onto my post-secondary education receiving my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I then continued on to acquire an advanced certificate as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and later a Pre and Postnatal Exercise Specialist. I have always wanted to use exercise as a means to help people. It wasn’t until I became a mom that my passion shifted to wanting to help women reclaim their bodies.
My motherhood journey began like most, instantly connected to a little positive sign on a stick. Our first pregnancy we suffered a tremendous loss. At just 21 weeks we gained our angel Emma. The years to follow blessed us with three rambunctious boys and I now take on the title of referee most days as opposed to mom.
I know what life is like navigating high risk pregnancies, the fear of doing something wrong, doing too much, the fear of loss again. Being a mom we can feel stripped of our old self wondering who this new person in the mirror is. The pressures of life can feel overwhelming at times but you have the courage to find joy! This is real life and I want to give you real movement to support your physical and mental wellbeing.
Through a lifetime of transformation we experience times more challenging than others. The standard 6 week check up after delivery, did you leave wondering where to go from there? Being home with little one(s) trying to understand why you feel a certain way, why your body hasn’t “bounced back” yet? Caring for your family and trying to carve out time for you without being asked for something, anything at all (ya right!). Uncomfortable speaking to your health practitioner about female symptoms that you can’t quite understand yourself. Are you trying to introduce exercise back into your life but are unsure where to begin? No matter how you’re feeling YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
You are capable of so much! Let’s begin your exercising journey together and discover your true strengths as a woman.
I can’t wait to hear from you!
