Movement for every woman

Our bodies are a true work of art. From creating life, carrying and nourishing life, birthing life, and aging into menopause, the female body is truly a temple of transformation, growth, and strength. Conquer motherhood, womanhood, and beyond with Movement to Bloom.

Lindsay Clement teaching exercise for women.

Hi I’m Lindsay, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I found my passion helping women just like you understand their bodies while reaching their fitness potential. My goal is to redefine exercise for the modern woman and to take away the taboo conversations around pelvic floor health. We all have one, why not train it the way it’s meant to be trained and reduce any side effects of dysfunction?

Based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I am a Clinical Exercise Physiologist as well as a Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialist with over 13 years experience. I started Movement to Bloom because I recognized gaps in both our healthcare and mainstream fitness worlds.

Have you ever asked yourself “can I safely exercise during pregnancy?” “I have gestational diabetes, what exercises should I be doing?” “When can I be active again after I give birth and what should I be doing that is safe and effective so that I recover properly from labor?” “Are the discomforts that I feel as a woman normal and something that happens with age (dribble or pee when I laugh too hard, sneeze, or jump, painful intercourse, decreasing bone density)?”

My hope is to help women like you develop a new appreciation and trust in your body. Providing recovery, functional movements, as well as proper techniques around core and intensity, I want you to thrive through pregnancy, motherhood, and beyond!

“I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.”

"Lindsay is lovely. After an initial consultation and a review of my goals, Lindsay developed a customized plan for my individual capabilities. Lindsay works with me in my home and each time she assesses my needs and adjusts the workout so I get the maximum benefit from the exercises. She is encouraging and gives me tips on how to improve my form and technique and leaves me with a set of skills and exercises that I can incorporate into my daily routine. She guides me through various exercises focusing on breathing, stability, and strength. I am already feeling stronger and more confident.

As soon as I met her I knew we would work great together. She takes great interest in my overall wellbeing; she has even followed up our sessions with a text just to check on me. She is so supportive, caring, and knowledgeable, and she motivates me to want to continue with my daily exercise regime."

"I am so happy I found Lindsay and Movement to Bloom. I am 5 months post c-section and I had no idea this type of service existed. Her absolute professionalism and kindness eased my concerns and made me very comfortable. I really thought I would be uncomfortable and in pain for the rest of my life. Working with Lindsay showed me that in no way did I have to accept that as my new normal. She's bringing me back to a place where I can do everything I could before pregnancy with no discomfort or pain. She also equipped me with the confidence, knowledge, and resources to stay there and her explanation and guidance for my home exercises have allowed me to continue my recovery. I honestly can't thank Lindsay enough."

I highly recommend Movement to Bloom! I started working with Lindsay after having my second child. I was experiencing pelvic floor issues following a second caesarean. Lindsay created a movement program that started to help within days. My confidence improved over time and I’m now back enjoying exercise again. Lindsay’s experience, knowledge and caring approach are like nothing I’ve come across in women’s health. While some of these things can be hard to talk about and explain, Lindsay immediately makes you feel valued and respected. I’m so grateful for her patience and support. Thank you so much Lindsay!

I started seeing Lindsay after having my first baby. I wasn’t aware of all the imbalances with strength that I had postpartum. After working with her for a few short weeks I was able to notice a difference. My mobility and strength has improved immensely, making it easier to get up and down and play with my little one. I’ve also noticed aches and pains disappear. My lower back no longer aches, and my feet have started hurting less as well. I give Lindsey 5 stars. She has so much knowledge and can help Moms in any stage of pregnancy or postpartum.

My experience during my first 8 weeks with Lindsay has been nothing short of amazing. Almost 10 year postpartum with 3 c-sections. She was the help & support I needed to gain strength in areas that would support the health of my pelvic diaphragm, when I felt lost in my own body. She is very professional and informative, always communicating to me the reason “why” we are doing what we are doing. Function movement, to strengthen building, stretching and proper breathing habits. She’s a wealth of information. In my sessions I feel seen and heard in my situation. Lindsay is very kind & compassionate. I look forward to working with her for another 8 weeks and seeing continuous strength in my body where I needed the most. Investing in my health with Lindsay has been a game changer.

I’ve been working with Lindsay for a couple of months. Lindsay is detail oriented and it comes through in the attention she has put into an exercise program catering to my specific issues and goals. Within a few weeks of working with her I had noticeable improvements. I love that the exercise transition has been a slow progression and each week she adds more challenging movements. She is extremely knowledgeable about how the body works. She is also so kind and caring. If you're looking for support in your pre or post partum exercise journey, even if it’s been a while since you’ve had babies, she’s a great resource that we are lucky to have in the community!
